Code of Conduct
As a client engaging in our at-home physiotherapy services, it is essential to maintain a positive and respectful environment for both you and our physiotherapists. The following Code of Conduct outlines the expectations and responsibilities to ensure a safe and effective therapeutic relationship.
1. Respect and Dignity:
a. Treat the physiotherapist with respect and courtesy, recognizing their professional expertise.
b. The physiotherapist will reciprocate by treating you with dignity, respecting your privacy and individuality.
2. Open Communication:
a. Communicate your health concerns, goals, and any factors impacting your physiotherapy sessions.
b. Provide feedback to the physiotherapist regarding your comfort level, progress, or any concerns that may arise during the sessions.
3. Punctuality and Scheduling:
a. Be punctual for scheduled appointments to ensure the full allocated time for your physiotherapy session.
b. Provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid unnecessary inconvenience.
4. Safety and Environment:
a. Ensure a safe and suitable environment for physiotherapy sessions, including adequate space and necessary equipment.
b. Report any safety concerns or changes in your health status promptly to the physiotherapist.
5. Adherence to Treatment Plan:
a. Commit to following the physiotherapist's instructions and prescribed exercises between sessions.
b. Report any difficulties or challenges in adhering to the treatment plan to facilitate appropriate adjustments.
6. Privacy and Confidentiality:
a. Respect the privacy and confidentiality of the physiotherapist, as well as the confidentiality of other clients.
b. Refrain from sharing personal information about the physiotherapist or other clients without explicit consent.
7. Professional Boundaries:
a. Recognize and maintain professional boundaries during physiotherapy sessions.
b. Avoid engaging in harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour.
8. Informed Consent:
a. Provide informed consent for physiotherapy services, including understanding the proposed treatment, potential risks, and expected outcomes.
b. Communicate any changes in your health status or treatment preferences to the physiotherapist.
9. Payment and Financial Responsibility:
a. Ensure timely payment for physiotherapy services as agreed upon.
b. Communicate any concerns or issues related to billing or financial arrangements promptly.
10. Termination of Services:
a. The physiotherapist reserves the right to terminate services if there is a violation of this Code of Conduct or if the client engages in behaviour that compromises the safety and effectiveness of the sessions.
You acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct by engaging in our at-home physiotherapy services. This mutual commitment fosters a positive and collaborative therapeutic relationship, contributing to the success of your physiotherapy journey.
